Welcome to our Family Blog

It all started with a telephone call, a few intriguing telephone conversations and a blind date. Howard and Maureen met early May 1991. After a whirlwind courtship we got married in Oct 1997 and so our family started with just the 2 of us.

Happy Birthday Dad ... From Your Boys

Howard celebrated his birthday on August 14th.

When I told the boys about their Dad's birthday, they were so excited! They immediately started to sing the happy birthday song....and Josh said smiling "Birthday Cake???"

And it was a wonderful birthday celebration! Howard and I went to lunch at a nice cafe in Hopewell. The whole family went to pick the cake and ice cream...which the boys cried to hold all the way back home....talk about kids and instant gratification....will they ever get past that stage...I sure hope so.

Here are the cards, Godiva Chocolate and some of the chocolate birthday cake that Howard received...can you guess who is the chocoholic in the family???

This was a really nice surprise....A banner the kids made at their school for their Dad's birthday.

Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration Honey. We love you! Isn't he just the yummiest.....

The Boys Beach Trip 2010

The boys had a blast when we spent a long weekend a couple weeks ago at the beach in Cape May. We stayed at the Periwinkle Inn which is a very kid friendly hotel and not the usual bed and breakfast inn that my husband and I used to stay at before children (bc).

First Day at The Beach - The boys loved running in and out of the waves
Noah and Ethan making wet sand dunes
Ethan really really loved the beach...he was always running into the waves and by the end of the day was usually the only one covered from head to toe in sand, sand and lots of sand

Noah trying to cover Mommy with sand...but Mommy was just too fast for him

Joshua looking off towards the horizon

Joshua getting ready to jump into a huge hole in the sand

We Love PreSchool

The boys are now in preschool. They love it! Yay!

And Mama gets some well needed rest...sometimes.

It didn't take them long to adjust, and they have some new friends that we have been getting together with over the summer too.

It is just great to see them learning and playing together with friends at school. I went to visit on the last day of school and was proud to see how well they are doing.

Here are some pictures of them outside our home waiting on the school bus.

2009 In Review

I haven't been able to post much on this blog as it's been such a whirlwind of a year. Here's an update on what's been happening with the boys this year.

Josh Ethan & Noah had a great year and we had a great summer with lots of activities. Our favourite things to do were playing in the backyard and hanging with their cousins. We even made it to the beach twice this past summer.

BEACH FUN

BACKYARD FUN

We enjoyed our first 4th of July fireworks celebration and soon after that the boys got the chicken pox...Ouch! It wasn't that bad, they had a mild case and they had cabin fever for 2 weeks...that wasn't fun for Mommy or the boys. We went to the 4H Fair and had lots of fun there.

The boys had the good fortune of getting some speech therapy and developmental therapy for their speech delays. The specilists that were assigned to us were such nice ladies and really helped me with tips on how to deal with the boys. Now they are in preschool everyday and on track for being on par with their peers. They love school and I have to calm Josh down on the weekends as he's so upset that he's not going on the school bus on Saturdays and Sundays.

The boys turned 3 this year and we are all amazed how quickly they have grown.

HANNUKAH & CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE...

It's been a great 2009 and we look forward to many memories and great adventures in 2010.
